Default Molding Aero Parts?

My car is being repainted and repaired. The shop would like to use my car as its "showcase" car and is offering to mold the sideskirts, back and front lips for free. How durable is this? I frequently go on aggressive drives i.e. the dragon, Fall Colors, etc... so would I have to worry about the molding? For example, the car is lowered and I scrape sometime, would the molding crack?
Thanks

I just had this talk with my friend who owns a body shop. I just got my car back.
He says it depends on what materials your molding. The side skirts wont hold very well to the fenders. The change of outside temp and a smal bump could crack it easily. Same goes with rear bumper to quater panels. One small bump and it will split at the molded part. It will be the weakest part.

Moldings mainly for show. I dont think it can handle aggressive driving.

Steve, if they're willing to do this and you've expressed your use of the vehicle to them, would they not be willing to redo any splits/cracks at the molds?

Are they willing to cut you a deal on this go 'round? Are they willing to cut you a deal on the next round? Are they asking you to show the car at an open house?

Personally, I love the molded look, but practicality must be considered. Got any pics?

molded look looks good, but im not sure it will hold up on the S. side skirts are usually the easiest thing to mold, but out front fenders are huge, and flex here and their. the molded sides will probably crack, along with the rear.

if you go streight up show mold it, but your going to want to drive aggressively here and their, so i wouldnt mold.

yeah, he give me a deal later to fix. The initial cost is a little high ($3500) but I've also got a lot done i.e. whole car striped and painted, shaved, all aero pieces repainted/mounted (the GD skirts had to moded i.e. cut to [1] clear car lifts [2] fit flush), used CF hood wet sanded (was painted) and clear coated, Mugen SS spoiler repaired (had some dings) repainted (including the stands...now black) and remounted, the front bumper grill cleared, hardtop repainted to colormatch, Veilside Top cover painted.
Pics will be comming soon (skip, you will be the first)
