Your s2000 just had sex, I would leave it alone for a few hours, the smell should dissipate. It might even drive a bit more lively....

Wasn't there a TSB for the AC draining into the cabin on the passenger side? If there is no wet carpet found anywhere, you can also try using a couple laundry dryer sheets in the cabin to help absorb any moisture and give it that clean fresh laundry smell.

i would definetly suggest checking your cabin air filter, and possibly your door and trunk seals. i had the same problem, found out i had a trunk seal that had started to come apart.

no. car was a 1 owner from mckinney, texas. trunk seals look good. i havent taken my trunk apart yet. there is no discoloration in my carpet anywhere throughout the car. no wet carpet on passenger side either. i need to try the "lysol in the ducts" method though which sounds like something i should do in all my cars just for good measure. it just has this "old" smell in the car. it could very well be nothing to do with mildew and its just me being OCD

As others have already mentioned.Take out the trunk tool tray and liner and have a looksee. There was a writeup some time back as to the trunk vent at the rear upper portion of the trunk compartment that leaked. The water terminated under the tool tray area and was unnoticeable until you remove and inspect.
