Default More minor changes noticed on the '02 S2000

More minute differences:

1) Intermittent wiper relay no longer makes the loud click every time the wiper sweeps.
2) Mode button on the left side of the steering wheel no longer turns the radio on.
3) The A/C is automatically activated (and cannot be turned off) when the system is set to the defrost mode.

My mode doesn't turn on the radio, and my defrost does the same thing. I have a 2001.

Production varriance? Changes within' the model year? Hmmm... Makes it hard to know exactly what was changed for '02, or '01 for that matter. I have the official '02 Honda Facts Book (one of the salesman I used to hang out with gave it to me) and just the major changes are documented. I'm keeping track since I do submissions for the FAQ, thanks for the info.

Model Year 2000 owner's manual states that the A/C is automatically turned on when the heater is set to defrost, and remains on if you change to another setting. It is supposed to remain on until you change setting and turn it off manually.

This is what the owner's manual says; I haven't verifed it in the car. I just took their word for it.

i believe his point is that it cannot be turned off in the MY2002 once it is set to defrost where as in the MY 2000-2001 you could turn it off

But with the Famous Honda Secret Service, no one will know for sure what's in the '03s until they actually roll into the showrooms!
