Dream on. IF they go to 2.2 liters, I would expect little or no increase in peak HP, just more low end torque. As for removing 200 lbs, no way.

how are they going to shave 200 pounds without adding cost? 10 lbs is possible, but forget about 200 lbs. increase engine output is possible, but very unlikely on a car selling like hot cake already. keep dreaming.

I have never liked the idea of automatic A/C with the defrost. There are a lot of times when I prefer to draw in outside air and then heat it up (especially in dry winter days). Thus avoiding the compressor power loss which can be quite a few horses.

Its like Honda assuming you are too stupid to know that adding A/C with heat drys the air more quickly.

I prefer that the A/C function be only operator selected for another reason in that if you keep a car a long time it is possible the A/C will fail(never on a Honda though). I hate the idea that it will come on automatically with no coolant charge(thus lubricant) in the A/C compressor. Unless they have a 100% reliable charge sensing pressure switch, you could tear up your belt(s).

Another case of the manufacturers asserting that they know better than you!!!

When selecting the front windshield defrost mode and the A/C automatically engages, does it disengage when you select rear window defrost?

Okay, maybe the A/C automatically came on in the defrost mode on the 2000-2001 never noticed it before. I know that on the 2002 the A/C cannot be turned off while in defrost mode.

The mode push button used to turn on the radio on the 2000-2001's. It does not on the 2002, probably the change in radios, Honda must have overlooked this. I wish the mode button would toggle the radio on/off if held down. Now that would be useful. I also noticed that the 2002 Odessy has the 2000-2001 S2000 radio. Honda must have wanted to use up existing stock.

1) Intermittent wiper relay no longer makes the loud click every time the wiper sweeps.
Didn't even know about it...I've never even used my wipers... 5000 miles and no rainy days.

Dave,

Is this info from a test drive or did you upgrade to a 2002 already?

I sent him a PM asking if this is what he did and. . .well. . .he did not deny it, but he did not confirm it either. Guess he's afraid to admit it. . .hehehehehe!

Guess I'll figure it out in March. . .
