Toyota FTW. Too bad they don't have a decent nimble sport car anymore. Bring the Spyder back and make it longer like the 2nd gen MR2...add a small trunk in back and one up front...give it a 2.0 liter 210 hp motor and bring it in around 2500 lbs...I'd buy one.

Nice, but isn't MSN the same site that just stated the Z06 doesn't come with a manual trans?

Correction: ZR1 doesn't come with a manual tranny, according to these guys.

Well, either way, I'm just glad of this:

Compact Premium Sporty Car

Honda S2000*

There are a lot of Lexus and Toyota vehicles on that list.

They're reliable appliances and that's what most people want most from their cars.

not much of an award, how many cars fall into this category?

It's like coming first in a 2 person race -- it's still a win.... but seriously.

Props to Honda for the S2000, but I wish the Supra and the MR2 were still around.

I still maintain that these tests have a major flaw.

The most highly rated cars are those that are typically NOT daily drivers. They are garaged cars that get infrequent use, usually don't have more than 10,000 miles put on them per year and get regular maintenance.

What about Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas? Per miles on the Odometer they surely have less problems. It's just that per 100 vehicles surveyed the civics/corollas had more issues than the lexus because, imagine this...the civic and corolla are commute cars that get abused daily in stop and go traffic and get 15-35K miles racked up per year in most cases!
