I just saw that too. I don't think that throttle spacer would make one iota of difference. I do think some phenolic spacers between the intake manifold and the head would help on hot days but a big chunk of aluminum is always going to have heat soak issues in a hot engine bay.

The short answer is, spacers would have very little value. There are three types of heat transfer, Radiation, Convection, and Conduction. The intake would be subject to all three, the spacers would slow conduction (contact transfer) but would not eliminate it and would have no effect on heat radiating from other surfaces or the hot air blowing over it. There are several thermal coatings on the market that would help but the effective ones are (1) expensive, and (2) a pain to work with. A good CAI would probably be more effective.

Yeah I get what you're saying. Even if the intake manifold was at ambient temperature I don't think you could even tell a difference with the butt dyno. If it were a racing situation every bit might help, but for a street car it's not worth the time or money.
