Despite what my friend said, I went w/the Sony 750 model. Everybody should see it w/its face open. It's like a little neon show, since it's so bright (red and indiglo blue). Anyway, after having it only for a day, I can see why the mechanism can break so easily...Everytime, you have the face open and press down on a button, (I think) it makes the face looser (b/c when the face is in the open position, the buttons on the face are mounted horizontally, thus pushing the whole face down away from the head unit). I hope that makes sense.

I'm glad I bought a 4-year warranty. Cartoys, said if I ever have a problem, then just come back and they'll swap it out over the counter (Assuming it's in stock), otherwise off to Sony it goes. As far as skipping, it has done it a couple of times, but it's pretty rare. When I had the Kenwood mp3 head unit, it never skipped, not even once. I hope this helps.

Does anyone know if it's going to sound funny if I get MB Quarts coaxials and no sub for the bass? Will I have any bass at all, since the crossover that comes w/the MB Quarts coaxials is used to filter out the bass (Obviously, I know jack $hit about the technical side of car audio, so correct me if I'm wrong).

It wont sound terrible at all, it just wont have bass. That's how mine is set up right now. I just finally got paid for some work I did a while ago, so I was thinking of getting a sub this week, but then again, my woman's b-day is next month, so I guess I should leave car junk as a low priority for now.

Hi, all. I just install my AIWA MP3 player for my S2000 three days ago. I installed it myself and so far there is no skipping. I was in Gingerman today. While I was out on the track, I turn the music on (this is not recommanded, but do-able) while on a hot lap. nothing happened, the music plays fine.

FYI, I used the stock mounting bracket to mount my MP3 player.

Have fun.
