I've been averaging 23-25 mpg it seems, with mileage increasing over the last month or two as the engine seems to loosen up.

Don't forget your air filter. It could be really dirty or clogged up. Replace it asap. That might help.

I've got a tad under 30k on my car now and I've been averaging between 24-27 mpg. About 50/50 city/hwy

I've have the s2k for over 2 years now and the 20/26 mpg doesn't work out for me very well. Especially the city mpg. I am constantly getting 15-16 mpg and that is following the manuals mph shift points. 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear are shifted at 4k and 4th, 5th are at 3500.
