Default MPG for the s2k, i'm not getting anything great...

I've have the s2k for over 2 years now and the 20/26 mpg doesn't work out for me very well. Especially the city mpg. I am constantly getting 15-16 mpg and that is following the manuals mph shift points. 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear are shifted at 4k and 4th, 5th are at 3500.

I tried doing a search on this but haven't found anything of substance. Thanks in advance.

wow 15-16mpg in the city??? What do you do..........drive in 1st gear all around town? I know the S2000 is not friendly with Gas consumption but that's a little ridiculous........I drive like you and I'm getting about 400kms per tank.........maybe you should get your car checked out. you never know...it could be sometime else that's causing the problem.......extremely under inflated tires/spark plug or plug wire problems?

I am not getting great gas mpg numbers either. I only have 2500 miles on my car and I hope the numbers will get much better after my first oil change.

During the 96k miles so far, I've averaged about 21-24 mpg in the city and sometimes get 30 mph on the highway!

Who needs an Insight when you've got this car.

I haven't checked the Insight, but the Hybrid Civic is quoted at 56 mpg. It probably can get 65 if driven well.
