Sorry but theres no way any S2000 can get 26-28mpg in pure city driving.
If thats a mix of city/hwy, then I can believe it.

I'm probably driving 80/20 hwy/city and I get on average 25.5mpg.
I drove it real light one tank and got 28mpg.
Driving without thinking about it will get me 24pmg.

It's all in the tuning. You want an S2000 that gets 28 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway? Fine! I'll take the S2000 I used to own that got 22 mpg on the highway and I'll beat you away from any traffic light on the planet!

I didn't buy my car for gas mileage. If I wanted a car that got good mileage, I'd have bought a Miata!

I suggest changing the color of your car to Spa Yellow. I have owned 4 S2000's. 1 NFR, 2 Silverstones and a Spa Yellow (my current car). It averages 26-27 mpg in everyday driving, a 17 mile work commute and running around town. That is around 2 mpg better than the other 3 cars. I do have a K & N air filter on the Spa. Maybe that is the difference.

LOL i did not buy the car for MPG like i said i have fun when i drive and still average 26-28mpg i get over 300miles before i fill up. I have done no tune this is a stock CR. I don't go on the highway but like i said there is maybe 3 lights and 2 stop signs on my way to work i live about 8 miles from my work. And on weekends i don't go very far as well. But me what i do as coming to a light if its red i start to let off the gas way back to not use the brakes so by the time its time to break the light usally turns green. And i am about to start riding a bike to work for good excercise and to keep the miles low on the CR. I figure i could bike 3 days and drive 2 that would save me alot of miles on the car. I do tend to do long road trips with the CR made 2 in about 4 months of owning it and use to drive it more when i first got it. It now has almost 9,000 miles and i got it in Feb.

thats alot but you dont buy a car to bike to work. fu*k miles. just wear out the engine faster so you can get an excuse to rebuild it and boost it.

LOL i do plan on boosting it next year. My plans as of now are spoon overfneders, carbon hood, maybe spoon front bumper, than a nice turbo in there. I will also paint the intercooler saitn black for a clean look witch will flow with the car better i hope. I want to keep this car as a weekend toy if i can and as soon as its payed off buy a cheap DD. But really the bike will be more for keeping me in shape
