I think that the pipes are essentially the same units. It looks to me like the King photo was probably taken of a pre-production unit that had been polished up for the pic and then the rivets were photochopped. Somewhere along the line they decided on a slightly larger tip for the production pipes which IMO was not necessary.

Should King substitute a different photo (or put on a disclaimer)? Hell yes they should. Any internet retailer needs to show representative photos or tell their customers otherwise. That is not only good business, but there are also legalities involved with misrepresentation.

I've been considering one of these pipes and it's a mixed result for me. I'm very glad they are not polished, but I definitely liked the smaller tips on the King photo pipe. Once you get up to that size, a little bit bigger starts to become pretty friggin' big. Not so sure I can justify an exhaust that I can insert my fist into without squeezing .

I agree. The tips are bigger and King should post a representative pic.The smaller tip is better. I still like the exhaust though.

KeithD your pic is going to make me go blind.

I really do not think these differences are enough to make or break purchasing this exhaust. However, King does have a responsibility to accurately represent the product they are selling and as things stand right now the pictures do not represent the exhaust being sold.

They just need to update the pictures being used on the website.

Here are the two photos at approximately the same size. The angles are different, which makes the comparison more difficult, but it looks to me like the bottom one has larger diameter tips. I like the larger diameter ones, great looking exhaust.

LOL. good point, you found a loophole in what i said. if you look close, the 04 yellow car in kings pic, doesnt have Ti muffs. or at least ive never seen Ti polish up that well. i wasnt expecting Ti when i buy the mugen. i just want the exact one in the pic of the yellow car. so if someone has the info i need. do tell. lates dave

I put this exhaust on my car two weeks ago and love it. The sound is perfect and the larger tips look awesome. The size of the tips do not over power the rear bumper cutouts. I will post pics of my exhaust soon. Anyone who is on the fence about buying this mugen product should go for it! Worth every dollar.

[QUOTE=SIIK2NR,Nov 24 2004, 10:06 PM] Someone posted their 04 mugen exhaust the other day and it looks great, but it's NOT the one posted on Kingmotorsports.
