Mugen mods cost a pretty penny, but sometimes it IS worth the money. Good luck.

I am completely ignorant about this stuff. What kind of money are we talking about here?

Mugen Exhaust, $1628

Mugen Hood, $3278

Mugen Lisence Plate Bolts, $23

Mugen Air Filter, $165

I couldn't find the ~$30 oil filter on their site anymore.

Check it out for yourself:

my friend down the street has an ap1 with comptech supercharger.....he doesn't roast me at all......in fact, out of the hole i am faster.....his strength mainly shows after fourth gear...so, before you open your mouth understand what I say comes from direct experience......i never said my car is the fastest thing on earth, i said it is very fast for a NA four cylinder
Also, Ill get flamed by all the JDM fans over here, but I refuse to take ANY company seriously that has a $165 dollar air filter.
Mugen makes good parts. But in reality it boils down to your budget. I have said this over and over. Any way you look at it. A kid with a S2000 working at McDonalds making $4.75 an hour will probably go for the $169 AEM intake over the $2993 ASM intake or $1400+ Mugen intake, right? I know you have your spoiled kids out there too. Thats just an example.
Do I think Mugen/Mtec charges to much for their parts? Yes I do, but that is the look/ mild performance some of us want or are looking for.
If your on a budget then go with the less expensive parts. If your not then the skies the limit.
Better yet why not scrap the expensive parts and go with an NSX/NA2?
One last thing I may add is to make an overall fastest NA S2k will run you thousands of dollars and it WILL NOT be one brand of parts. It will be a combination of Japan aftermarket companies since not one company makes the best of everything.
