Mugen Hardtop pictures...
All I can say is... WOW. This is an amazing piece. All carbon fiber, 35lb. It has obviously been shaped in the wind tunnel as there is a very deliberate indentation in the middle of the roof. Also, there are lines on the edges of the roof that flow much like the hood of the S2000. It really looks amazing. There's a good chance we'll be getting one for our Yellow S2K.
Wow... all I can say is wow:
A look at the carbon fiber exposed on the side (repeats on the inside), and the aerodynamic aids in the inside:
A shot from the front, with GTRPower's car in the background:
I like the look of this more than the factory top, it's way lighter - and a bargain at the price. It's entirely made of cabon fiber, and uses the stock Honda mounting points. Sweet.

Questions:
1.) How much does it cost?
2.) Who can I order it from?
3.) Can I get it painted in matching Formula Red from the retailer?
4.) I have a 2000 model S2000, so where do I get a mounting points kit for it?

While $5k might seem expensive, it seems like a bargain after seeing the top. Carbon Fiber is expensive. If given the choice between $3500 for the Honda one, and $5000 plus paint for the Mugen... it's a no-brainer. AFTER seeing it in person, that is.
As for the visibility concerns, Scott showed me how it won't differ from the Honda unit, because the Mugen's glass starts at the exact angle where the passenger roll hoop is. The roll hoop would block your view anyway.
This hardtop is worth every penny and-then-some. If you are anywhere near Sullivan, WI... you owe it to yourself to stop by and see the workmanship in person. It's gorgeous.

The styling is well... unique, leaning towards ugly.
And I don't quite understand why it's got that high-gloss acrylic coating on it. A matte acrylic finish (raw carbon fiber look) would look more like more the stock softtop.
I'm also not too enthused by the plastic rear window. One of the reasons I'd like a hardtop is to get rid of an easily scratched plastic window.
For racing though, it might be just the thing.
