Can someone please tell me which curve says what? I mean, is the higher one with the mugen header or the stock?

What color belong to which runs with mugen header. for all we know, we could have lost power with the header

That dyno shows me what my butt dyno told me. Nice bump in the low end 2,000-3,500 Then a nice pull in the start of Vtec!

So were the initial runs showing better results than subsequent? Did you do 3 runs each again? Since you had to swap headers, I'd guess that there was a 30min-1hr cooldown between the stock and Mugen runs. That should be enough time to stabilize the heat soak.

I guess I'm wondering what your analysis of all this is. Also, does it sound any different?
It was actually pretty warm in the shop and the guy had run/idled the car for awhile after installing the header, not sure why.

I am pretty sure heat soak is part of the issue.

I'm looking for high end performance.

The power curve with the header is exactly as advertised, more area under the curve with a nice increase in low end torque and a bump from 6000 to 7200. Hard to ask for much more when you are replacing a header that is excellent as is.

man, I just got back from about an hour of city driving. From a stop, this header is a MUST have.

Anyone that uses their car as a daily driver or EVER gets stuck in traffic, the additional 5-6ftlbs at the bottom, complete remove the bog that you get at low RPM starts, AND the car picks up and gets moving with much less finess than required before.

Wait...if you look closely at the dyno, it appears as if the VTEC engages at 5800 rpm...but everyone says 6000 rpm...so which one is it?

Maybe the Mugen headers transfer MORE heat to the engine compartment than the stock headers do.

So you lost 2 HP peak and shifted it lower down in the rev range and picked up 4 pounds of torque.

Doesn't seem worth the effort. I bet that just replacing the stock airfilter with a K&N would yield a more impressive dyno plot.
