Krazik-S2k,

I'm getting the Mugen ECU, lower tempcontrol, and high pressure radiator cap (recommended by Scott at King)... maybe I will get a lower price with a grup buy. I aso have the Mugen headers on the way... and the TB bore... and the intake manifold extrude/hone... and

Okay, I'll stop. Mugen ECU... you in?

Hi Luis-

Why would you want to nullify your knock sensor?

You still want the knock sensor to operate. That's a pretty important part of the engine survival mechanism.

You want the anti-knock ignition tables to be slightly less sensitive, and compensate knock with not just ignition timing retard but also with some sort of cooling- slightly more fuel, as an antidetonant is usually the answer, along with better engine cooling capacity.

I don't, but I remember a post where a whole lot of sensor input was ignored by the Mugen ECU. Unfortunately it was in japanese and not translated.

I wouldn't mind a detailed description of what mods the mugen ECU brings into play.

I'm considering the JDM headgasket that raises compression to 11.7 and horsepower by 10HP. But for that I believe I would need a new ECU. The Mugen ECU could be just right. However as I'll be running 98RON instead of 100RON (as appears to be the case in Japan), I definitely do not want the knock sensor nocked out, so to speak...

Wouldn't that be more like 6.5 HP?

250 PS = 246.58 hp

... and by the way, why is it taking so long for the world to move over to ISO units and start quoting horsepower in Kilowatts?
