Mine did the same thing when I got it.
Most instalation kits allow for some "minor" adjustibility. I suggest taking it back off and start over on instalation; or loosening all attachment points and try to correct how it sits before tightening.
I actuallly ended up modifying my instalation kit to get a perfect fit
