Default Muz Mats and Tube

I've noticed that many of you guys have the Muz window well mat and tube. Mine are currently on order, seems like a good idea to me. Can you tell me how well they work. I've went through one summer, putting the top down every day I could of course, and have small scratches in my window around where the crease is. I thought the mat and tube would help and not make the problem worse. Are they effective??

yes - they are definetly effective. the quality of the products are first class, and once you have it will regret not buying them when you first got the car.

the mat simply lays in the tray where the window folds into. it prevents the plastic window from contacting the plastic tray, hence avoiding scratches around the crease area.

the tube is something you need to do everytime you put the top down. when the top is half way down, you need to get out and place the tube on the "inside" of the crease, and then get back in to continue putting the top down. this ensures that the crease doesn't become a permanent fold. somewhat of a pain to get in and out everytime, so i only use it when i know the top will be down for an extended period of time.

hope this helps.

There should be no reason for not being able to fit the boot cover with the tube installed.

Had them both since day one of ownership. Rear window looks like new. Of course also use Plexus.

In addition to Plexus, you need a cleaner to remove the "plastic haze" that is a result from the PVC "breathing".
