S-02 weights

F 22lbs R 25lbs

MY04 totals

F 39.6 R 47.5

So MY04 MY00-03 fronts have effectively identical weights and the MY04 rear is ~10% heavier than MY00-03.
thank you for that analysis. i never imagined our wheels are "much" heavier than 00-03's.

Hmmm. I wonder if a 10% weight difference - which probably means a more-than-10% polar moment of inertia difference? - could account for the differrence in Dynapack and Dynojet results?

(Not to rule out human error, of course.)

Dude, it's an '04. If he went to 9K he could have done it once. Ever.

Uh oh, I remember telling the guy it has an 8k redline. If he ran it out to 8200 would it have made much of a difference?? I can't believe I forgot that.

Yea the dynos makes it look like the car wants to keep running after fuel cutoff. I wonder if anyone will come up with some sort of reflash to raise the limiter...

So no reflash possible with the s2k ECU......actually I have a feeling that the 2.2L will be like the 2.0L, it'll make max power around 8300-8400. You'll gain some but not alot, plus you are taking away some of the safety margin of the engine. Since you may only gain 3hp...is it worth it?
