Default My AP2 Dynos

Trim: AP2

Mods:
Gutted Airbox
Resonatorectomy
Krank Vent Valves

Miles: 8,1xx

Other:
No fan was present during the runs
100+ degrees outside



Red = Friends AP1
Blue = My AP2
AP2>AP1


Red = Pre-Krank Vent Install
Blue = Post-Krank Vent Install


Red = Lid On
Blue = Lid Off

-19.36WHP -10.39WTQ
Not a 5WHP loss like most of us think it is.


Red = My AP2
Green = Cousin's RSX-S (CAI/2.25" ID Catback)
Blue = Other Cousin's RSX-S (CAI)

1hp is pretty darn good considering your car has 8,000 miles. Others have gotten better results with higher milage engines. The ring seal really seems to improve with the krank vents and I think you'll get more benefit out of them over time.

Thanks for getting the dyno for me. I still think $110 for 1hp is better than 3hp for $700-1000.

Those shiny metal cylinders on the hoses are the krank vent valves in the first pic.

It allows air to exit the crankcase but does not let air in, allowing a tighter seal within the engine.

i thought the krank vents only prevented boost from entering the valve cover.......

also - 20 WHP from removing the lid? LMFAO please turn your AC off.....

It does that but too for the F/I guys. For N/A instead of trying to maintain a 0atm crankcase pressure it will try to create a vacuum inside the crankcase instead.
