Default My car was that close.....

I woke up this morning to what sounded like a freight train going by our house. I go out into our living room where everyone else is, and the noise is the storm outside. All of a sudden we saw the neighbor run into their house and a tree flew by the window!

We grabbed the pets and took cover. It passed quickly so we went out to survey the damage. There were branches everywhere (i'm talking BIG branches... like 3-5 inches thick on the trunk). We had 4 cars in the driveway. A tree had fallen on the garage and spared my car by mere feet! The house has a few holes in the roof from the tree (The tree is about 16-18 inches thick... big tree!)

I'll post pics of the damage and the tree when I get them scanned. I'm glad my car survived!

Wow, traumatic! I'm guessing it was a tornado? Glad to hear everyone is OK.

And just how much would you have enjoyed your car if you didn't survive?

I'm glad you made it, along with your family.

WOW, I'm glad you survived too. Was it just a storm, or was there a tornado too?

I don't think a tornado actually touched down. I heard the weather man use the term "micro burst" ?? Or something about a tornado forming, but never actually touching down.

Last friday we had a couple huge limbs hit the top of the house and slide off and fall lengthwise between my Rx-7 and new 350Z.
There was less than 15' between the cars and they missed both cars. Thats one I owe the man upstairs.
