Hello,

I have a intermittent crack-click coming from the back end of my car, especially during turns, or getting going after having reversed. Going straight, at speed, there is no sound at all.

It is not the differential! It was replaced yesterday under warranty, but the sound is still there! What can it be?

Wheel bearing? Drive shafts? Has anyone on here had problems with either of these areas?

Help!

Jonas

btw: car is 01 Spa yellow, 10000 miles

Could be axles? You might want to contact Wesmaster or Gregstevens, since I know they both have had some axle work done.

Tire inflation? Interesting thought...The noise started the same day I had my summer tires remounted after having run on winter tires.

How does tire inflation cause noise form the back-end?

I'll check tires later today.

different tire pressures in the rear cause the tires to be different sizes, thus the differential itself clunks at times as an effect of compensation. that's my guess. but give it a shot.

Check your brake pads and see if one of the clips are broken. I had this same thing happen on my Formula a few months back. The installer did not know what he was doing I guess. Did it myself next time and haven't had anymore trouble.

Tire pressures checked out OK - no difference left to right.

I don't think it is the pads, since they have not been replaced (still originial).

However, I've been given information about a thread about the left inner CV fault from "elanderholm".

I am going to Honda at lunch to show them a print of the thread.

Thanks guys!
