The real question is whether or not this is actually a warranty.

Nobody knows the answer to that question yet.

So - here is the update:

There is a hole in the block, they said it was piston closest to pulley (No.1).

They said they sucked about 2 quarts of coolant from the engine among the remaining oil.

More details will come in the afternoon.

All right, so it is going the 'traditional route' - they want me to approve tear the engine down cost ($1500) to inspect the engine - Honda rep requested "in order to see whether it was overreved, the pistons hit the head etcetc." Plus they want oil change records. I agreed (warranty repair will cover these 1500 anyway) and will stop by in the afternoon to take the pictures and hopefully know the findings.

"Oil change records".

If nothing else, I think the wisdom of taking a S2000 to Jiffy Lube is answered?

Oh yes it is. At least I do not have to store the receipts since they have all the history in their computer :-)) But that's not what you wanted to hear I guess :-)

You say you are using synthetic oil...When did(miles) Jiffy Lube first put that oil in your car?

exactly by the book, 3750. The first oil which is coming with the car was there exactly per instructions. I am telling you - there is no fault on my side, I am really anxious to see what was the issue since it does not appear to be #4 but #1. Maybe I just got unlucky, could be as simple as material defect.
