Sick cart, I would love to take a spin in something like that someday.

I was very impressed with the S2K, and so was the guy with the C6 vette, and the guys with the Mustang GT's that I beat.
Old habits die hard!

I'm sure I'll be in the same boat with the cost/reward situation, but I'm definitely getting in a full track day during my time with the car all the same.

While this is true, the driving lessons you can obtain via a few autoX events are quite valuable.

I know for a fact I am a better driver overall after my autoX experiences, but especially when behind the wheel of my S2000.

I live in a pretty hick-town of Alabama and would have to travel all the way to Atlanta for a road course. I'm 19 and in college so I shudder to think of the expenses with running heavy track days like the tires haha.

My rears are pretty dead and likely won't have another set for ~2months.

There are two tracks in Alabama that do trackdays. Barbers does them(I am pretty sure) and there is another smaller track that will do them also.

I wish this comment would be re-stated, because one easily gets the impression (from the comment) that autoX is a waste of time - and that is 100% inaccurate.

Indeed. However, there is fun to be had and driving skills to be learned at autoX. Love it.

You'll get the bug. It's really going to help with your car handling skills.
