Yesterday night I had my OEM TB removed and fitted temporary the Spoon TB that I found. The OEM TB will be flying all the way to J's Racing in Japan and will be expected to be returned under J's Racing specs on about 15/01/06. In the meantime I enjoy Spoon TB, BUT am facing the following problem. Although I reset the ECU it seems that my rpms on idle condition are 1400-1500rpms instead of 900-1000rpms and although I havent touched anything that can cause this, am wondering why this is happening.
Please note that I had to remove the Map Sencor & TP sensor (cant remember what this does) in order to be fitted on the Spoon TB. The previous owner of the Spoon TB advised me that I have to do some adjustment on the TP sensor position. I have noticed that the screw holes in the location of the TP sensor are egg shaped and I think that by moving the bolt-on location this can adjust the rpms that are higher at the moment. Please note that I didnt made any adjustment on the throttle cable and all clearances are correct.
What should I do? In the meantime I cant find any guidelines on the S2000 Technical manual. Your help will be appreciated.

marios that is weird, the only difference beetween a Spoon TB and OEM is the diameter, the TP sensor is de same.

no advise on the throttle body issue but i thought i'd chime in and say hey to a fellow greek!
Your ride is looking good... I am always left dissapointed during the summers when i'm on vacation, i can never seem to find the greek car culture to be as strong as it is here in america.
I come to athens for a few weeks each summer (i say in Paleo Faliro) but my family is originally from Kasos. Keep up the good work with the project!

This bolt may be adjusted too high, thus holding your butterfly valve open and rasing your RPMS. To know for sure you would have to check the voltages coming out of your TPS, I can't remember exactly what range it should be, you don't want to change the position of the bolt without checking the readings from your TPS.
Adjust the positioning of the TPS to put the voltages within spec at WOT, then check with the throttle closed, if it is not in spec with it closed, you may need to adjust this bolt.
If this Spoon TB has been used before, the previous owner may have adjusted that bolt to raise idle RPMS.

@mucter
Thanks for the info mate, you have just reconfirmed what I had in mind and will check this out. I will check this out as you said. Oh and by the way it is a Spoon TB not a MUgen.
Thanks again.

Greece is obsessed with cars and you can seen them during night time mostly.
Next time you come to Athens let me know.
