Chris from Grille-Tech has generously sent me a set of black grilles for my car. There were no obligations attached nor was it suggested that I promote or review this product. I have no affiliation with Grille-Tech whatsoever. I want to make that perfectly clear up front. I do however want to say that I'm pretty impressed with this product so far.

Having been a purchaser of a grille previously for my car (a couple of years ago) I have to say that I wasn't expecting anything near the quality of what I received.

Before I continue let me say that this is a comparison against my previous grille and not a comparison against any of our current sponsor's grilles. I have not seen or used any of the current versions. Also, my previous grille was quite well made, looked good and did it's job as intended. It's just that this one is better in all aspects. I haven't fitted it yet but there are a few things about this product I'd like to give a thumbs up to.

The grille mesh is stiffer and stronger and looks less susceptible to denting.
The mesh pattern looks more appealing than the X pattern of my previous grille.
The trim around the edges is proper automotive trim, good quality and looks very durable.
Workmanship is very good. For example, you can barely see where the join is on each piece of trim. (It's the little things that count.)
It came with full easy to follow instructions.
I got a damn cool sticker (may have been an extra, I'm not sure).

Thanks Chris for a very nice quality piece.

Muz,

Your right they have changed from the expanded metal to the perforated steel. This makes the intake 10 degrees cooler than the expanded metal

Looks like a nice quality grill, my only question Muz, how do the side grills attach, do they attached with screws or another way?

Good to see Grill-Tech has possibly read the posts on engine bay temperture increase, and adapted the grill to compensate.

However are the grills, stainless steel, carbon steel or Aluminum?

I would like to second MUZ's review of the Grille-Tech grills. They are great quality mods that will help protect the radiator. I have already injested 2 birds into the front radiator opening, but not any more. Thanks C.Driver, this is a great product!

Can you guys attach the centre grill using the screws and not the tie similar to the coastal metals grill. The reason I ask is because I want to buy the silver one but I don't want to be able to see the cable ties!!!!

Thanks
