Really? Why would Honda do such a terrible thing? Oh well, any good ideas on how to cut it out...perhaps a dremel or really sharp utility knife? I guess if I mess up, there isn't anything I can do about it. Good idea Flyin Wedge, I would have cut the whole thing out and then been life wtf? Ha ha.

I assume that it is mounted infront of the existing grill fins. Can it be mount behind the current grill fins?

To be honest Nix I just screwed the two side grilles over the whole piece of black plastic, but I did look at it for a good fifteen or so minutes thinking about how it should be cut(which is when the thought of leaving two corners in tact hit me)but then after holding the grille up against the plastic I figured ya really can't see if the plastics been cut or not.

i mounted the grill on the inside of the fins!

you just have to put it upside down, bent both sides backward a little bit, and use te zip tie to secure them.

it's not a perfect fit, but you can't really see from the outside.

and i like the look of it when the gill is behind the fins!

Any chance you could post a pic of that grille behind the fins stock?

I just read your page. Gee... 10 degrees is a big difference alright.

Looks like a nice quality grill, my only question Muz, how do the side grills attach, do they attached with screws or another way?
It appears they attach with the supplied screws. I haven't fitted it yet.

However are the grills, stainless steel, carbon steel or Aluminum?
I don't know about this one mate. It feels heavier than Aluminium but I could be wrong.

The reason I want to cut out the ducts is to increase airflow up into the engine bay where my CAI will be drawing its air. I would love to see pictures of it mounted behind the fins, I have been trying to decide where to put mine.

Hey that looks pretty damm nice. How much of a pain in the ass is it to install that way?I also must have a front plate and in looking behind the plate I noticed a bracket that runs throught the stock grille which would mean having to cut the Grille Tech grille to make it fit and I'm trying to stay away from having to do that.

I just got my grill tech grill. the only problem I have with it it did not explain how to get behind the grill, and it took me a few minutes to figur it out. You can go to Home depot and get some clear ties and use that instead of the black tie if you have the silver ties and you won't be able to see it at all.
