Heat tape would look better than the wrap... but a good idea though.

dont let ppl ruin your view on your DIY.. some ppl will like it, some wont.

the only thing that matters is that you feel safe and confident about your setup. dont mod your car to please other ppl. mod it to please yourself. that's what i did.

JDM S2000, is the stock arm's diameter bigger or shorter compared to the ebay pipe? I was under the impression that the stock arm has an opening about 3.75", while the pipes on ebay are 3". I would hate to restrict 3/4" of air.

What I did on mine was take the pipe to a muffler shop and they were able to expand the pipe to have an opening of 3.5 to 3.75. They advised 4 inch opening would be too much and crack the pipe. Do you think that helps. What would be the benefits of a stock 3 inch opening compared to a 3.75 inch opening with filter.

The opening is 3.5 inches.
Obviously it needs a reducer at the throttle body.

So yes it is just a tad bigger than stock

I have decided to lay fiberglass or CF over the heat stuff.

Once again I smell jealousy from the haters on this site.

The ****ing thing flows more air, more air equals more power.

What dont you understand about that?

Here is the beginning of the wrap

LET ME SAY THIS NOW FOR YOU IGNORANT BASTARDS--IM NOT FINISHED WITH IT

How is this for insualted.

Some of you guys are worse than the kids on honda-tech.
wow nevermind I completely understand why you did this now, just what I expected...

hahaha.

btw who told you more air equals more power

when will people learn that the air intake on a car is not really about how much power it can make.

nevermind actually you obviously don't care....

ignorance is bliss

I have 40 dollars into this

The airbox is gutted, the resonator blocked. Any of those intakes you mentioned are over 200 bucks

And guess what, this is almost the same as the K&n with way less heat soak

Guys who care and arent retarded stay tuned to see what i did tonight.
