Default My S2000

I bought my s2000 back in 01'. At first I hooked some NOS up to it until the comptech supercharger came out. Also i installed HKS exhaust. I still left the juice on but only a 35 shot(the lack of tq.) I put 18x8.5 SSR in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear with nitto's wrapped around them. Then I got the comptech aftercooler. Then I took off the nos. My question is would you S2000 owners be happy with setup? I sold the car with about 22k miles for 18,000. If you are unhappy with the S2k get an evo. I recently purchased the MR evo. I'm finally satisfied. My evo isn't stock now. I believe that I wasn't happy with the car b/c I felt I had to dog the car to qench my thirst. I spent alot of money on the upgrades. Tell me what you think about my switch from a S2000 to an evo.

Thanks
Scott

I think you made an excellent decision. You are now happy with your car, and in the end thats all that matters. Personally if the Evo, STi, 350z were out when I got my S2k, most likely I would not have the S2000 today.

thanks for checking my forum out. My work gets done by Japtrix down in West Palm Beach, FL.
My other option was to get a bigger pulley and get a new block and a header and get forged internals and better injectors. Thats some big $$$$$$. So I cut my loss and got the evo. I already spent 15k in upgrades. Imagine what a new engine would cost.

Honestly, I don't think your 100% satified with your purchase if you need someone elses opinion.

Different strokes for different folks.

from that post you really didn't know to much about your S....

1. you'd want a smaller pulley to get more boost
2. the s already has forged internals (pistons and rods)

but beyond all that... the evo is a good choice... i wouldn't mind having an evo as my car with the back seat... but heard some horror stories about maintenence and warranties being denied....

yeah. wondering how much you really looked into it since you kinda missed these 2 points.

either way, if you're happy with your evo that's all that matters.

evo's are awesome when it comes to power and handling category but in my opinion it still looks like a ricer car...dont get me wrong its fast and blow the doors off the S..but stylewise...i would never buy one...plus..its 4 door..

I drive both and to each their own. The EVO's boost is deceiving as it falls flat when charging redline. I find the driving experience is like having a lobotomy....

Either way, both the Evo and s2000 are good choices.
