My s2000 caught fire!
It sounds to me like some electrical component or circuit got wet that shouldn't have gotten wet and when it shorted, it was not properly protected by a fuse. I doubt that this the fault of the carwash, you expect a carwash to put a lot of water on your car. That's like balming the electric company when someone drops a hairdryer in the bathtub and is electrocuted. I would suspect a mod that was improperly fused, a short circut in the fusebox just before the fuse, a cracked relay that got wet, a mod that allows more water than normal to get under the hood or a combinationof the above. It seems unreasonable to blame the carwash; they're supposed to get your car wet. Sorry to hear about your tragedy. Maybe identifying the source of your problem will help some of us take steps to prevent a similar incident.
