Highrpmek,

I have a rio CR and I love it. The spoiler really grows on you and doesn't seem to overpower the car in person. Like you, I would have been happy with a lip spoiler. Still not a bad compromise though.

The rear cover comes off and another poster mentioned the brace and the lack of any wiring, controls, or additional hardware necessary to install a soft top. I have also pondered installing a soft top or looking to see if an old fashioned split toneau cover could be made.

I absolutely love the seats!!! The alacantra holds you in place like a glove and I think it is very substantial. I also believe it wll hold up over time, however, I will have to wait and see.

I love my CR and can't reccomend it strongly enough. I would like to qualify that mine is not daily driven and will be used for a autocross and track days with ocassional street time.

Hope this helps.

altho I must add that its sometimes a hassle to find someone to help take off the hardtop. And the fact that you kind of have to plan ahead to take the top off too.

Also gotta add that I noticed a few "dents" maybe folds in my seat already. The weird thing is I dont keep anything in my back pockets.

The only think I see a problem being is the lack of softtop. Otherwise, I think it's nothing bad at all about the CR imho

Anyway, good luck!

Well, my insurance company totalled my S2000 out. Puts me in a tight financial position, but I might be able to get an 08 S2000 CR. I like almost everything about the car. At first I hated it, but it's grown on me considerably and I haven't even seen it in person. And we all know pictures don't do S2000's justice, especially Hardtop ones.

That said, if I can make this little dream happen I'm curious if there's an easy fix for the things I don't like. First and foremost, the uber functional wing kills it for me. I would have been a lot happier if they had used a Mugen/J's/Voltex wing, atleast I wish they had painted it black like the HT. That said, are there any wings that's mounting based would match the pre drilled holes of the CR wing. If not, do you think in our community there are owners out there with a stock OEM trunk that would want to swap? Or does everyone feel the same as me towards the wing and I'm stuck with it unless I buy a new trunk. Chances are even if I get a stock trunk I will add on a J's/Voltex wing. (I like the look of Evasives S2000s')

Second big issue, and I guess this is a ? that CR owners can answer. How are the new seats? Is the cloth crappy? tear or rip easily?

Last one, what's the Tonneau cover thing like. It looks kinda cheap to me. Almost like it sits on top the "once" softop well, instead of in it. Just curious if it's an eyesore topless and if it's easy to take out.

Thanks for your time guys!
I feel the same way about the wing, but without it...it's not a CR. Kind of loses some of its "specialness."

Hehe for me i woulda taken anything other than black. Blue being the first choice since its CR-only color.

Thanks for all the input guys. Answered a lot of my quesions all in only 2 pages of a thread.

One thing that is starting to bug me a lot..

If I remove the tonneau cover, is the additional bracing exclusive to the CR an obstacle for installing a Roll bar (HardDog/Safety21). I understand that's most likely a question that no CR owners have encountered yet, but it's something I would look to do with my S2000 CR or not.
