Has it been in an accident?
I'd carfax my car if I noticed that.

Nope, I ran a carfax on it when i bought it and it's never been wrecked. Also had an independent inspection done on it and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I guess if it was a really minor fender bender it wouldn't appear on carfax? But then i couldn't see it needing so much work that they would have to re-do both sides of the car.

yea I'd definantly look into this. I've heard of people who wrecked their s and when they got it back it the person in the shop put the emblem on as 2000 s.

Carfax reported nothing.

I traded in an S that had been wrecked (by my brother, not me), keyed, had a huge door "ding", and some other very large unidentified collision damage. Body shop replaced, repaired, repainted,...etc. over 4 years and the kicker:
Carfax reported nothing.

Carfax is not accurate.
The carfax for my S reported nothing when I bought it, but when *I* got hit, the body shop that fixed me up said it had been rear ended before (not too bad) because there was some panel buckling under the rear bumper.
