sorry to hear about your ordeal. Even if the owner stated that you'd never asked about the accident, by law he is obligated to tell you about such accident. Take him to a small claim court and you are more likely to get all of your money back plus more. Hope everything goes well for you.

 

Carfax is garbage. My 30k car had 15k in repairs, all done legally through insurance and what not in October 2002. I checked Carfax on it last week and it's clean.

Nothing like a mechanic and a bodyshop to check your car.
