also, does anyone have any experience with getting reimbursement for car modifications in this kind of situation?
sorry to hear about your accident, but glad you're generally ok.

there are a lot of factors that play a part in getting reimbursed for your mods, but if the guy that hit you's insurance is going to cover the damage and it's NOT a total, all your damaged mods will be covered. if it is totalled, take off all your mods as you're likely not going to get much for them (typically, mods don't add value to the car).

good luck!

Ugh, I hate these threads. Really sorry man. Looks like you had a lot invested into the car too. Keep us updated on what happens.

damn sorry about what happened that really sucks bro. at least you're ok and your dog too. i believe based on your insurance company you have to have modifications covered or on your policy prior so I hope they take care of you.

When I drive I follow the same rules as when I ride my motorcycle. always leave room in front of you to make a quick escape. I usually am checking behind me in my mirror when I come to a stop and cars are coming up behind me. Shit sucks tho I don't think I could control my temper especially if my dog was in there with me. Anyway best of luck bro.

I don't think you'll get anything from the insurance company unless you had your modifications in your policy. My Works and Coilovers got destroyed and got nothing.

I had a car between me and the guy ahead and had already
checked behind me when I came to a stop and didn't see anyone close. I guess he never hit the brakes.

What my insurance is shouldnt matter because I wasn't at fault. My company would not be reimbursing me therefore it is irrelevant

It doesn't look too bad considering you got sandwiched between two cars. Good luck with things, good to hear you were okay.

Would be interested in how insurance determines who is at fault. I was always under the impression that it was shared by the two rear cars however this may change in a stationary situation. good luck looks fixable
