Default MY04 Trunk-lid rust

I posted on this once before, but the thread got moved to wash & wax for some reason. Anyway, I have rust showing on my my04 S where the bump-stops insert into the trunk lid. Does anyone else have this?

Yeah, no $hit. I'd have them give you a whole new trunk lid. There was obviously some bare metal in there that didn't get primed, which would not take long to start rusting.

Unsrew the bump stops, wire brush it and just paint it already

I would simply repair it (get all the rust cleaned up, take some touch up paint to it). No point in trying to convince the dealer to give you an entirely new trunk lid (and then have the headache of the new one not having a proper paint match).
