No spoiler on my S - and I do drive it in wet weather, but this part of the car is pretty well protected.

I have an 01 with oem spoiler, drive through rain and shine, no rust.

What the hell is with the '04's? What is so vastly different in their design that allows this? Very strange. I'd take mine to the local dealer, but I don't trust them after they curbed my rim and wouldn't repair/replace it for me.

Well, Here's another MY04 White with rust just starting!

Car only has 3000 miles and has seen very little rain. Just installed the spoiler 2 days ago, so highly unlikely to be related to that.

How many White MY04s does this make? Are there any other colors?

went to my local dealership yesterday and they said they will fix it - just need to make an appt. at their bodyshop. I also sent Woodwork a pm so that he's aware of this post & issues
