Default MY06 Air Filter?

What is the best air filter to get, sound wise. I dont want to get a CAI just yet. I just wanna make my baby a little louder than stock for right now.

And...

How bad is it to drive with the Air Filter Cover off???

Just take the cover off and leave your stock filter on. You lose a few horsepower, but it doesn't hurt anything.

You could drive without the cover. It won't harm the car in anyway.

i doubt you'll notice much of a change in sound with the stock box regardless of what filter you have.

The car sound so nice with the cover off. I do feel the lost of power in the upper RPM range. I am seriously thinking about the K&N Air charger Intake but I don't want to drill my own hole for the temperature sensor on the 06. I wish K&N would do it so I buy it right now.

A change in sound from a different filter in the stock airbox is probably going to be so small that you'd never notice.

The filter it's self isnt what makes all the noise, it's the enclosure around it, or attached to it.
