Default K&N filter

I just put a K&N filter in my car. Should I leave the cover off
or on? Will it make a difference either way?

Thanks for any input

If you want it to sound good, leave the cover off.

If you want maximum peformance, leave the cover on.

You will lose some power if you take the cover off.

You can modify your stock airbox with the kit from costal metals, inexpensive and gets the fresh air into the stock box making it sound better and still get the great protection from the stock filter. Pt
