Default MY06 DBW and supercharger

hey guys, reading all these upgrades on the MY06 has frighten me a bit in the fact that i want to get a S2K soon however if i get a My06, i was wondering if the drive by wire system would in anyway prevent me from installing the comptech supercharger?? Or it has no affect and i could even install a supercharger for My05?? What you guys think would DBW in anyway affect installing a comptech supercharger, or would comptech have to change the kit a bit just for the peeps with MY06?

I don't think it should make much of a difference, there are many cars with DBW that have SC kits for them.. VW's are one that comes to mind.

I am also trading in for an 06 (Vortech'd) and the DBW system is worrying me. By using the AEM am I removing the VSA and the DBW? Am I gonna have to convert the car to a cable throttle? I wonder if it uses the same TPS....

So many questions...

The '05s might hang on the lot for longer than you might think.

Not because of a flock of people only wanting the '06, but just because of low demand in general, and many dealerships unwilling to deal on them.

yes, you will have to convert to cable throttle for AEM. thats why you dont see too many mk4 vws running on standalone.

I was under the impression that the AEM used TPS voltage? If so, it is possible that the TPS voltage output is the same. Perhaps they only changed how the throttle plate moves, not the sensor that assigns a value to its position....

Food for thought.
