R2K - It will definitely be possible to charge the 06. I know there are a lot of 05s running around with Comptech and Vortech kits. If the 06 requires another part or another modification, give Comptech and Vortech a bit of time before they have the kit for you! But rest assured, there will be an SC kit for MY 06!!!
Let's say it all together... "SC'd S2K with TCS. SC'd S2K with TCS" ahh...

Yeah, both Vortech and Comptech kits include some trickery to fool the stock ECU. I will be boosting 10lbs so I'll be scrapping all that and using an EMS, hence the concerns regarding the DBW system.

to reply to you WyattH, If the MY06 DBW does change it so much that the 05 kits arent direct bolt ons and comptech need to change it, I'm not so sure if those comptech will spend the extra money on just one model year....my06 is most likely the last year and its not like a civic where you sell thousands and thousands of them in one year...might be a chance they wont waste thier time....hopefully im wrong.....i think im thinking to much into this....lol

The basic Comptech kit doesn't use any electrical connections except the MAP signal. DBW won't be a problem.

As for install instructions, you can't have searched too hard. They are a download on the Comptech site and there are several write ups by S2ki members in the FAQ section at the top of the FI forum.

This doesn't make much sense. You seem to be contradicting yourself. Your rationale for saying Comptech won't bother making changes is that this is the last year. Surely by your rationale the fact that Honda made these changes suggests it is not the last year?

I know what you mean, I'm just saying it doesn't make sense.

What makes you think it is the last year? And do you think Honda would have made these changes if they were about to discontinue. Comptech aren't dumb, but nor are Honda.

BTW, before the 06 was announced many believed the 05 was the last year. And before that the 04, 03, 02, 01 and even the 00.

The dumb thing is that in 2086 they will discontinue the S2000 and someone will say "I told you so!".

well there is no actual proof my06 is the last year, but most model years only last about 5-6 years...so its about time...trust me i hope it isnt, but it just seems like its the last year....and just because the made changes to my06 doesnt mean its not its last either...just about every company changes something every model year...i just assumed with all the rumors going around....put its just that rumor....
