So that would mean an Ap2 would literally annihilate an AP1 in straight-line acceleration. 10whp+ is good for a few tenths...

you wish.

there equal out about the same. the AP2 takes three shifts to get to 60 whereas the AP1 on take one, and the 90-100lbs wieght increase between the two cancells it out.

AP2 are more likely to pull a hair from a roll, if they even do at all. alot of it usually comes down to the driver, as always.

Three shifts? 4th Gear? No, you mean two shifts.

No way dude. Shawn Church at Church Automotive has reported that the '04-05s have consistently been dynoing 5-10 more hp than the '06+'s on his dynapack.

Most of the 04-05s have been baselining at ~245 hp, whereas most '06s (like mine) baselined in the high 230s.
click the link on my sig..

keep in mind it was well in the 90's that day...

0-60 is one thing, quarter mile is quite another. Lots of cars are geared to hit 60 in 2nd which makes for better magazine numbers. 1/4 mi sorts the BS out.

I bet an 06+ car is at least a couple tenths faster than an 03 even with the extra weight.

What's your point?

You had a test pipe that netted you 241 whp. That's still lower than what '04-05s dyno completely stock. And that also happened to be your highest run, as clearly seen how you ran a 234 whp in your previous run.

I baselined completely stock at 237/167. With a few mods, I was able to hit 245 /173, which is close to what most '04-05s run stock on Church's dynapack.

Kingsta18, perhaps I'm mistaken but did you say that your stock 06 dyno'd 229whp on a mustang dyno!? When I saw your post on the first page I figured it was on a dynapack. 229whp seems extremely high on a dynojet and even more so on a mustang dyno. That's where I'd like to be around when I'm done with power adding mods!

Correct me if im wrong, but uncorrected numbers will yield higher results than when factored by using sae correction

That is what the grin was for. Car magazines are getting about .2s difference between the AP1 and AP2, usually in the AP2 favor.
