sounds like factory alarm to me as well. I dont have one, but my mother's friend has an s2000 with it and when I came home for dinner last weekend they were there and she was telling me about it. I guess she sets it off all of the time somehow. I laughed and just told her mine is better.

No.. you don't instruct the valet to do anything of the sort.. YOU are supposed to put the car in valet mode before you leave it with the valet. This way he can't lock himself out of the car while jockeying it around the valet lot...
