Did you do the ECU reset?
The "maintenance" light is purely coincidental and has nothing to do with what's going on with your car. It comes on approx. 7500 miles since the last time it was reset. It's only to remind you to check your records to see what sort of maintenance you might need. Your owner's manual will tell you how to turn this light off as does the "FAQs" in Technical.
The shudder at start up has been reported and may be simply your ECU trying to learn new environmental conditions. Give it a few days to struggle with it.
The shudder while you are trying to get going and going from reverse to first is a whole other matter. This can be a multitude of things that can only be guessed at without actually driving your car when it does this.

There is a TSB out about this. Little bit different scenario, but sounds like your MAP sensor maybe loosing contact, i.e. dirt contamination or just loose connection. The TSB is called Intermittent Hesitation During Hard Acceleration TSB 04-073 December 3, 2004. Become a member and you can search the library and see this TSB. Tell the dealer to look it up and fix it for you.
