Default Is it necessary?

When changing out the clutch, should I replace the throwout bearing, and why? Does this part fail. What's the benefit.

Yes, it does wear out. Its a very cheap part. Since replacing it is just as expensive (or just as much trouble) as changing the clutch its crazy not to put a new one in when you replace the clutch. Unless you are just upgrading a very low mileage clutch and the oem tob works with your new one.

Yea but we dont like spelling out tob. If you save the 50 or 60 and dont change it you'll kick urself later. Makes your car sound like a diesel truck when you're idleing with the a/c on.
