Wael, you should really post this in the NY Metro Forum and the New England Forum. If I had an 02 I would do it, but there are plenty of guys that do have an 02 in the area.

This sounds promising.

What's the reasong for keeping the diagonal brace off except when at the track?

Can't wait to see pictures when you have it presentable.

I don't know if it will fit with the hard top. I assume if it fits under the hard top then the bar must be lower than the front windshield. I also assume most will prefer the bar as high as possible so that's the priority, right now its as high as it can possibly be while allowing the soft top to open and close. Its been tough enough getting someone with a 2002 car to volunteer yet, not sure if someone with a hardtop wants to volunteer their hard top to test. I personally will never buy a hardtop to test.

Again, I am yet to find any volunteers for anything I have asked for. I might have to produce this bar as is. The weight might be 30-40 lbs. That generally is what a mild steel bar weighs. Truth is, it will weigh whatever it needs to weigh to be SCCA legal and I feel there is a safety issue there.

cheers

Wael, I'd volunteer to drive to Conn for you to test the hardtop. Let me know if you are interested.
