I think today that I am going to buy the Comptech Exhaust for the MY 04. Just curious if anyone has this or even the older years and tell me what you think of the exhaust. Right now I am running the Spugen Dual Ti but it is just to loud for me. So I was just wondering how the resonance is with the Comptech at freeway speeds? as well as the overall sound. Thanks for any advice in advance. OH I did check the search and couldnt find any reviews on the exhaust.

 

comptech exhaust is very deep toned, and aggresive.. its perfect, IMO
i dont own an s2k, but what ive heard in person, and on vids its a great exhaust..
isnt loud and obnoxious, just has a great deep tone to it..

I agree with Yod. I've ridden in vtecmom's car who has the Comptech exhaust. It sounds very nice. Not too obnoxious, but is just a teeny bit louder and a little deeper.

 

I just installed one on my 2004 and I LOVE IT ! It seems a little loud when accelerating with little to moderate throttle. On the highway it is fairly quiet at STEADY throttle. It sounds good under full throttle and I do not think it is too loud. FYI: Comptech added larger tips for 2004 ( 4" ?)

I have it installed on MY04 and it's great. At first the sound was way too loud in my opinion, but with time I now hardly notice it and it feels normal to me. I also like having a good exhaust and then having the little kids in their tin-can mufflers pull up next to me. The exhaust looks great on the car, the tips stick out farther and just gives it a sportier look IMO.
