I don't know how much a new dash would cost, but if it's anywhere around the cost of a DVD screen system, I'd opt for the screen.

 

here in canada I cant get it from my buddy who works at Honda for about 354.00 Plus Tax that at his cost..

do a search for "liquid leather" on google. It works, and you can match the color and texture perfectly. Dirt cheap too- under 20 beans...

my friend has a crx that he uses for his track car and he has a camera mounted inside but the problem was when he used ot watch video he could barely tell his exact brake points. SO he mounted a round light in his dash and wired it to his brake lights and it goes on when he touches his brakes so he can tell when he's braking on video. That could be a possibility if you can find some light big enough for the whole.
