Default Need advise

Which should i get 4.56 gears or a comptech S/C. I can't decide! I'm not sure i can afford both right now so which should i get first. I have heard an S with gears can keep up with a supercharged S. But the price diffrence seems to make me wonder. I plan on getting both eventually i just am just pacing myself.

I would think it would depend on how much $ you have on hand. Seeing the supercharger will run you about 6 times the price of the gears you may want to get it 1st.

gears are the best bang for the buck, or that is the consensus on this site. A S/C does add more power and will be faster than a stock S2k with gears.

If I had the $ sitting around, I would get the S/C over the gears.

If you got $ for supercharger, get it. Gears will keep up in 1st and 2nd, but that's it. After that bye bye geared car.

You've got an AP2, so you already have slightly more aggressive gearing.
Definitely the SC unless you change your mind and become deadset on N/A.

I'm with NNY S2K, get the big expense out of the way first. By the time you get the gears, install, etc., you're almost half way to the blower.

The S needs better gearing, go that route. The blower does give the car much need power but in reality its not that fast and forget reliablity.

Remember the SC only boosts at WOT. During normal street driving, you're going to feel no faster than stock... maybe slower (weight...)

Gears help a lot down low and during normal driving, but make no mistake that a SC car will be faster in a racing situation.
