Default Need Help...Check engine light w/VAFC

I need some help. I installed the VAFC this afternoon and the check engine light comes up. I checked all the wiring and everything is where it is supposed to be. The damn V-AFC even works. Any suggestions as to what is the problem? Thanks!

try resetting the ECU first. remove the Number 25 Back Up fuse (7.5a) from the under dash fuse box for 10 sec.!

if it comes back make sure your sensor type is 6. It will run good on some of the other sensor types but they might trip your check engine light.

I've had some probs with mine too. It usually does it when the rpm's hovering around 6k.

Haven't even driven the car yet. Once I put the car to ON the car spits "Check Engine." I tried the pre-diagnostics stuff, but the damn light just wont go away. I started the car and it idled very rough (idled at 1K, even though this was the first time I started the car in 2 days). Damn, I'm really mad.

It is FIXED!!!! I would like to express my thanks to VTECnology and XTC. The problem was that I connected the VAFC's VTM signal straight to the car and not the ECU's harness (stupid me ) . Geez, I knew I shouldn't work on my car with a huge hangover . Latez!
