Need help with a clutch problem!
First the problem.
This morning I was on my way to work and went to shift from 1st to 2nd...ran it up to 9k and shifted and when I let the clutch out and hit the gas I felt something not grab. It's hard to explain but, where there should have been a bark of the tires there was a quick increase in revs for a second and then a lag and then it slowly caught like usual...Whole thing lasted about 2 seconds...At lunch it did it twice as well. Now I have been driving manual for years without a problem but, is this what is known as clutch slippage??? I only have 5k miles on my s2k but, I am pretty hard on the clutch but, my driving style has never caused this problem before on any of my high performance manuals. Another thing is I'm in Phoenix and ever since I have gotten my S2k it's been 100+ degrees and very dry...today was the first time it was under 100 (80 degrees) and it was also very humid today...could this have anything to do with it...??? Did any of this make any sense?

I live in Phoenix and am interested in your post. I am a motor idiot so I am curious by what you are saying. By slipping do you mean you shift and then it drops or doesn't pick up as quickly or do you mean it rev's high then kicks in.

Basicly it feels like I still have my foot 1/4 way on the clutch...where the engine is reving and you feel the wheels kind of catching but, not until you let out the clutch does it get the full power...feels like that. I'm gonna play with it more tonight and see.
It sounds like mine is doing the same thing. There are times I have look at my feet to see if my brain is the problem. It catches but not all the way. I am also a little concerned about my gear shifting. It feels a little rough at times which is why I originally came on. I too only have 6K on my car and it seems way too early for clutch problems.
I also noticed a clutch problem but not the symtoms your having. Mine will slip sometimes if I launch above 3K rpm but not all the time. I launched at 4500 today running a mustang and it grabbed? Anyone else having this problem? By the way I only have 3500 MI on it?
