Well guys I pulled the oil pan today and found my number 3 rod bearing is totally destroyed. The oil pump was clogged up with all the remaining parts of the bearing. So now I have to decide to either rebuild the bottom end, replace with an my04 engine or find a my02 engine. If u guys were in my situation what would you decide? Thanks .

Nothing out of the ordinary. Right now I haven't quite figured out what caused it. Except for the fact that the oil banjo bolts were never replaced.

Talk to Billman and Hardtopguy, get the '04-05 2.2L and use the '00 ECU. Spin it to 9k. From what I've been hearing, the test one they currently have is doing fine.
